Lina Kassem runs one room: a spit, a rice pot, a counter. You pull numbers off the board, leave a card, we call (613) 225-5888. Pay when you pick up. There is no checkout software on this host.

The unit is a box. After eight there is no table, only the ledge. Fries go limp if you eat them in the car on Merivale. Weekday lunch from the offices next door is a crush. Busy days are not for a stroller.

Shawarma, rice, saj, toum, Ottawa, Nepean, Clyde, pickup, rotisserie, knafeh, mint lemonade. Tokens for the visit. Not a slogan.
